Insider Edge Bets is a betting tips service that has built much of its reputation around horse racing and greyhound betting. More recently, the service has expanded into football betting tips, which has naturally attracted interest from bettors looking for value-based football selections rather than high-volume tip spam.
In this review, I take a closer look at Insider Edge Bets’ football tips, assessing how the service operates, what kind of bettor it may suit, and whether its football offering currently justifies attention.
What Is Insider Edge Bets?
Insider Edge Bets is a subscription based tipping service that promotes a value betting approach. Rather than focusing on predicting winners alone, the service aims to identify odds that are higher than the true probability of an outcome.
Tips are primarily delivered via Telegram, with members receiving selections directly to their devices. The service also offers a free group and occasional free tips, allowing potential subscribers to get a feel for how selections are presented before committing.
While the brand is best known for racing markets, football tips have been introduced as an additional offering, rather than the core product.
The Football Tips – What’s on Offer?
The football tips from Insider Edge Bets are presented in a similar way to their other selections, with an emphasis on:
- Props and bet builders (markets that allow account longevity)
- Selective betting (not dozens of tips per day)
- A long-term value mindset rather than short-term results
This approach will appeal to bettors who understand variance and are comfortable with occasional losing runs, as value betting does not guarantee immediate success.
However, it’s important to note that the football side of the service is still relatively new. As a result, there is currently limited long term, independently tracked results specifically for football betting when compared to the more established racing results.
Results
For this review we will be tracking the service over a 3 month period of time. The official service launched on the 11th of November.
Month 1 Results
Here are the results using £10 stakes for the first month:
P/L = +£155
Total Bets = 128

Bookmakers Used
In the first month selections from Insider Edge Bets are usually covered by at least one of these 5 bookmakers:
- Bet365 (most used)
- Skybet
- Paddy Power
- Betfair Sportsbook
- William Hill
There are times when selections are available with multiple bookmakers but occasionally there maybe only Bet365 offering a selection.

Selections are usually a single prop bet or multiple prop bets combined into a bet builder. These types have the advantage of being looked at often as recreational and can help extend account longevity, the downside is that they are limited to only a couple of bookmakers (sometimes just one).
Practical Considerations for Football Bettors
For users interested in using Insider Edge Bets for football tips, there are a few practical points worth considering:
Positives
- Selective value approach (no over betting)
- Account longevity
- Tips are easy to receive and follow via Telegram
- Free Trial available
- Low Cost
Limitations
- Exchange betting not available
- Not all bookmakers offer the needed markets
- No set time for tips
This service suits those that have soft bookmaker accounts, specifically Bet365 and the Paddypower/Skybet/Betfair group.
How Much Does It Cost
There is only one subscription currently for Insider Edge Bets football selections which costs £15 a month.
If you would like to trial the selections for 3 days there is a free trial available.

Initial Thoughts
Insider Edge Bets football tips look very promising so far. Whilst you do need soft bookmaker accounts to make the service work, the type of selections that are sent out won’t be seeing your accounts being instantly looked as sharp. There is also the ability to bet some of these selection in betting shops on the SSBT machines. Overall we are only a month into the trial but the early signs look good.
