50K Betting And Trading Challenge – March Results

OddsMonkey

So its getting close to a full year now for the £50k betting and trading challenge.

March was a month that brought the Cheltenham festival and a heavyweight boxing clash between Anthony Joshua and Joseph Parker.

Personally March was a month that I really enjoyed. With a great number of high quality sporting events. However I suppose the most important question is how did did the betting and trading go?

Matched Betting – Sports Offers, Accumulators, Arbitrage

I got through a really decent amount of arbitrage and matched betting offers this month.

With the total coming to 293 bets in March.

Compared to February that is in increase of 92 arbs and matched betting offers.

The total profit was £1295, an increase of £339 from February’s results.

Currently living the 0% commission life with both Smarkets and Matchbook at the moment. Due to an offer on with Oddsmonkey and it does making arbing so easy.

My intention is to make as much use of this 0% commission period as possible. I’d advise that if you have this offer yourself then you do the same. Hammer those bookmakers that you don’t much use of and even consider shop arbing if possible. As you can really boost your profits when your not paying any commission.

Advantage Play – Casino Offers

There have been a few times where I have whined about casino offers in my write ups. Noting that I felt like I was running below expectation.

Well that’s not something I can do this month.

Everything went really well.

Those crappy 10 free spins a day offers that seem like there not worth bothering with, Added an an extra £256 this month. The Epic Ape bet £5 get 10 free spins promo with William Hill was another promo that paid out big this month.

I did feel like I was due a good month with the casino offers and March duly delivered one.

It really paid off this month taking action and hitting every offer possible.

There were 136 offers that I took part in this March.

The total profit was £1785

Trading Results

I won’t put in a graph for trading this month as I did very little.

In total I made 3 trades this month.

A total profit of £52 was made.

My focus on arbitrage betting has taken time away from trading .

Changes to my work circumstances however should mean that my trading volume will increase for April and the rest of the year.

Sports Betting Results

In March I made 14 bets.

A total profit of £283 was made

Again my betting continues to be pretty sporadic.

However I am planning to put together a much more organized portfolio together for sports betting.

In order to increase my overall volume of sports bets.

This is something that I plan to write about in detail during April

So there is one month left in the £50k betting and trading challenge.

With a total of £26,630 to get in the last month. It’s fair to say that it looks unlikely that I am going to succeed.

However I am pretty happy that I have stuck to documenting the whole thing and I know a few people have replicated what I am doing. With one individual in particular emailing me that he is posting bigger results then mine on a monthly basis.

Which is cool, as the one of the main points of this challenge was to show people that these results can be replicated relatively easily.

April will see me returning to betting, trading, matched betting, arbing full time once again. Which should also see an increase in posting up content for this site. Alongside a larger focus on sports betting and sports trading once again.

Cheers for reading and hopefully we all have a profitable April.

  1. Hi
This is impressive but I only have approx £1k bankroll – where should I be focusing my attention.
I am concerned that I lose it all on the casino.

    • I would put most of your focus on matched betting offers to build your bankroll.
However I wouldn’t avoid casino offers all together. You could tackle some of the lower risk casino offers.
For instance Paddy Power have bet £20 get £5 on roulette and blackjack which is decent.

  2. Some great results this month, I always look forward to seeing how you got on each time it encourages me to try harder!
